RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) hosted another installment of its Women in Hospitality gatherings, the summer sail-themed Life’s Better on a Boat, on July 9, via The Newport Experience. The event took place aboard the Schooner Aurora for an evening of open-water sails, sips of wine from Brands of Portugal and pizza from Mother Pizzeria. The evening provided the chance for attendees to learn from and network with a diverse and accomplished group of women in the hospitality industry. The RIHA team, including new President and CEO Farouk Rajab, enjoyed the sunset sail along with a discussion with Rhode Island former Democratic gubernatorial nominee candidate and executive Helena Buonanno Foulkes. RIHA represents more than 800 food-service, hotel, vendor and hospitality members in the state of Rhode Island and has been the voice of the hospitality and food-service industries in the state since 1963.
