Noah’s at 63 Main is located in the picturesque village of historic downtown Essex, right on the Connecticut River in Essex Boat Works. Owned by Aubrey and Rocco LaMonica, the duo’s goal is to create an experience that mirrors its scenic location by offering creative and seasonal dishes to enjoy with the waterfront views indoors or out. Fresh seafood is showcased on the menu, including crab cakes, lobster rolls, steamed mussels, oysters, shrimp cocktails and caviar, as well as a wide range of fresh salads, soups, sandwiches and entrees. Its drinks menu offers wine and beer from domestic selections to far-ranging imports. The cocktail menu highlights a creative vision from Bar Manager Hayden Morris and her team, offering drinks that are as unique as the cuisine.

Cocktail: O.V.O. (October’s Very Own)
Ingredients:
» 2 oz. reposado tequila
» 1 oz. spiced pumpkin syrup
» .5 oz. fresh lemon juice
» .25 oz. Wild Moon Chai Spice Liqueur
» .25 oz. Disaronno
» Egg white
» Garnish: sage leaf
Method: Use the traditional dry shake method followed by a wet shake. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with sage leaf.

“My vision for this cocktail was to capture that pumpkin spice flavor that everyone craves during the fall while steering clear of the more predictable, overdone recipes; putting a spin on a modern, yet classic cocktail; and one of my personal favorites to work with—the Sour. I love transforming desserts as sours because the format offers the perfect balance of sweet and tart while staying bright and refreshing,” said General Manager/Bar Manager Hayden Morris. “I chose reposado tequila as the spirit base for its smooth notes of vanilla and honey, which pair beautifully with the nuttiness of amaretto and the warm fall spices from Wild Moon Chai and our house-made pumpkin spice syrup. To finish, I added a touch of fresh citrus juice for brightness and egg white to enhance the body and texture.”
