CDI Hosts Italian Prosecco Maker

By November 28, 2025Connecticut, Top News

Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), recently welcomed Matteo Bolla, a third-generation member of Italy’s Bolla family, for an educational tasting highlighting the rich heritage of the original Prosecco house, Valdo Prosecco. Founded in 1926 and owned entirely by the Bolla family since 1938, Valdo is the oldest sparkling wine producer in Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage site known as the heart of Prosecco Superiore DOCG. During the Oct. 3 sales meeting, Bolla guided the group through stories of tradition and innovation that have shaped Valdo’s nearly century-long legacy, including pioneering the Cuvée concept in Prosecco and advancing the Traditional Method with the Glera grape. Positioned as the gold standard of Prosecco, Valdo’s Marca Oro label remains Italy’s best-selling Prosecco Superiore DOCG, reflecting a steadfast commitment to quality, sustainability and authentic Italian craftsmanship across a range of sparkling wines enjoyed worldwide. “Valdo continues to set the benchmark for Prosecco by honoring its heritage while leading the category forward,” said Jessica Buoniconti, Valdo Business Manager, CDI. “It’s a privilege to share such a storied brand with our customers and celebrate the Bolla family’s dedication to excellence.”
