Opici Wines & Spirits named Christopher Wirth to the position of Director of Sustainability. In this newly created role, Wirth will drive the company’s sustainability strategy by identifying impact areas and working internally and externally to reduce carbon emissions across the supply chain. He brings more than 20 years of industry experience across retail, wholesale, and imports and has been with The Opici Group for 15 years. He earned a master’s degree in natural resource management, with a specialization in corporate sustainability, from Virginia Tech in 2024. Since stepping into his new role, Wirth has collaborated with environmentally responsible suppliers to develop packaging and marketing strategies; promoted transparent communication and produced educational materials about initiatives; and will continue to build measurable actions to reach net-zero carbon emissions across the entire Opici Wines & Spirits supply chain, while continuing to support its commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and corporate sustainability.
