Narragansett’s Coast Guard House showcased Chilean wines with a pairing dinner on June 3. Hosted by Viña Concha y Toro’s Marcelo Papa, Technical Director and Winemaker, and Justin Stone, District Manager MA/RI, guests enjoyed five courses of cuisine prepared by Chef Angel Cardona and his culinary team paired with wines from Viña Concha y Toro. Wines on the menu included Marques de Casa Concha Heritage Red Blend, Amelia Chardonnay, Amelia Pinot Noir and Terrunyo Sauvignon Blanc. Located in Chile’s Maipo Valley, a 30-minute drive from Santiago, the Viña Concha y Toro winery was founded in 1883 by Melchor Concha y Toro. One of the leading Latin American wine producers, Viña Concha y Toro grows grapes from more than 12,000 hectares of vineyards located in Chile, Argentina, and the United States, and exports its wines to over 140 countries. The wines are distributed by Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company – Wine Marketing division.
