
Worldwide Wines welcomed two winery owners to its North Haven headquarters during a sales meeting on Sept. 19. Robert Wetzel, National Sales Director and Owner, Alexander Valley Vineyards, and Michael Honig, Owner, Honig Vineyard & Winery, each led the sales team through an educational tasting of select vintages and discussed the history and production practices of each. Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley Vineyards is renowned for its estate-grown Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Founded by Hank and Linda Wetzel in 1975, the winery remains a family-owned and -operated business run by the Wetzel family. Napa Valley’s Honig Vineyard & Winery is also a family-owned operation known for its award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc and its commitment to using sustainable farming and production practices. The Worldwide Wines sales team also received product education from Anthony Prizzia, NY/CT Area Manager, Frederick Wildman and Sons, Ltd.; Bryan Bartell, Division Vice President of Sales, Northeast, St. George Spirits; and Ashley Blesse, Director of Sales, Northeast Division & Cruise Lines, Banfi Vintners.
