Wheel Horse Whiskey 5-Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon.

Wheel Horse Whiskey, distilled and matured at the historic Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro, Kentucky, has unveiled its Barrel Master Select series—the brand’s first foray into barrel-proof small-batch whiskey. The inaugural release is a 5-Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon bottled at 112.6 proof available in a limited run of just 2,100 bottles. Crafted by Barrel Master Stephen Corrigan, Batch 1 is a blend of 12 hand-selected barrels of 5- to 6-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Bottled without chill filtration, the whiskey retains its full character and complexity, delivering a robust and flavorful sip. Batch 1 offers an expressive profile. On the nose, aromas of cherry, mocha and warm spice fill the glass. The palate delivers decadent notes of toffee, vanilla, and café au lait, before unfolding into a warm, lingering finish of toasted walnut, burnt sugar and Black Forest cake. Future Barrel Master Select releases will include additional barrel-proof offerings, including a Kentucky Straight Rye, expected this fall. The whiskey is distributed in Connecticut via Latitude Beverage Co. and in Rhode Island via East Coast Beverage.
