Newport Vineyards received new accolades for three of its rosé wines from the American Fine Wine Competition (AFWC). The AFWC Rosé Competition took place on May 31 at the Fort Lauderdale Women’s Club, where more than 160 wines were evaluated and judged by a 16-member panel of wine industry educators, journalists and sommeliers. Newport Vineyard’s White Merlot Rosé 2024 earned a Silver, Pinot Noir Rosé 2024 earned a Double Gold and Dry Rosé 2024 earned a Gold. Family owned and operated for nearly 30 years, the destination winery, taproom, restaurants and wedding venue boasts 100 acres of historic farmland, of which over 50 acres are vines.
