
Mancini Beverage – Best Beverage division, in collaboration with González Byass, hosted a pairing dinner featuring wines from acclaimed Piedmont estate Poderi Gianni Gagliardo at Newport’s 22 Bowen’s on Nov. 1. Stefano Gagliardo, Owner and Winemaker, Poderi Gianni Gagliardo, was in attendance to give guests a background on his family’s winery and its long tradition of making elegant wines. Guests enjoyed five courses of cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Justin Garcia, with Sous-Chefs Erik Hansen and Wans Pierre, each paired with a different vintage, including Gianni Gagliardo Fallegro, Tenuta Garetto Rosina Barbera d’Asti, Gianni Gagliardo Barolo, Tenuta Garetto Derthona Timorasso and Gagliardo Fallegro Langhe Favorita. Fatima Pereira, General Manager, Mancini Beverage – Best Beverage division, and Mark Raymond, National Fine Wine Director, González Byass, joined Gagliardo to present each wine selection to guests. Located in the Barolo region of Piedmont, Poderi Gianni Gagliardo produces its high-end wines using grapes grown in the Langhe and Roero regions using organic and biodynamic principles.
