Bastille Day Celebration Hosted in Farmington

The DORO Restaurant Group, in collaboration with Brescome Barton and Connecticut Distributors, Inc., hosted a Bastille Day celebration and farm dinner at Sub-Edge Farm in Farmington on July 14. Guests enjoyed tastes of French wine, beer and spirits, with a spritz bar featuring Grey Goose Flavored Vodka, a cocktail bar with selections from Rémy Cointreau and Belle de Brillet, and wines including Cave de Lugny La Cote Blanche Unoaked Chardonnay, Lucien Albrecht Pinot Blanc, Lucien Albrecht Crémant d’Alsace Brut and Chateau d’Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé. The DORO team created fresh French-themed cuisine using produce from Sub-Edge Farm to pair with beverage choices, which guests enjoyed in tents set amid the farm’s grounds. The farm grows 10 acres of sustainably and organically farmed vegetables, fruits, flowers, and culinary herbs and humanely raises heritage breed pigs, pasture-raised broilers, laying hens and 100% grass-fed cows. It also takes part in a 100-share Community Supported Agriculture program.
