Bloomfield’s Waypoint Spirits hosted a cocktail competition featuring local bartending talent on Oct. 21 in their taproom, organized by Taproom Manager, Chris Lazich. Seven bartenders crafted their best cocktails featuring their choice from within the Waypoint Spirits product line for judges. The winners were first-place: Aaron McCummings; second place: Andrea Davila; and third-place: Patrick Dugan. Founded in 2015, Waypoint Spirits opened under new ownership in 2020 led by Owners Eriks Surmanis, Tony Tine and Joe Tine. The small-batch craft distillery is the states’ second largest, offering a range of award-winning spirits such as its namesake flavored vodkas, rum, gin and bourbons and canned cocktails as well as tastings and tours from its 410 Woodland Avenue location.
