Connecticut Venues Honored in Annual Wine List Awards

Thirty-two Connecticut restaurants were recognized for excellence in the Wine Spectator 2025 Restaurant Awards compilation. Announced in June, the annual list highlights eateries around the world for their wine lists. “Best of” Award of Excellence designations were given to Barcelona Wine Bar, Norwalk, Stamford, Fairfield, New Haven and West Hartford; David Burke Prime Steakhouse, Mashantucket; Fife ’N Drum Restaurant & Inn, Kent; Hinoki, Greenwich; Josie & Tony’s, Norwalk; Kensington’s, Norwich; L’Escale Restaurant, Greenwich; La Foresta Restaurant & Wine Bar, Killingworth; Mōlì, Greenwich; Nouveau Monde, Sandy Hook; The Capital Grille, Stamford and Hartford; The Restaurant at Rowayton Seafood, Rowayton; The Woodland, Lakeville; and Washington Prime, Norwalk. Additional state honorees receiving the Award of Excellence were 2 Hopewell Bistro, Glastonbury; Arethusa al Tavolo, Bantam; Brushmill by the Waterfall, Chester; Crush Wine Bar, West Hartford; Gabriele’s Italian Steakhouse, Westport; Shell & Bones Oyster Bar and Grill, New Haven; Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse, Stamford; The Benjamin, Ridgefield; The Griswold Inn Wine Bar, Essex; The Shipwright’s Daughter, Mystic; Union Kitchen, West Hartford; Viron Rondo Osteria, Cheshire; and ZINC New Haven, New Haven.
