Slocum & Sons welcomed new offerings from BHAKTA Spirits to Connecticut. First from the company, a luxury portfolio of limited-release whiskeys, brandies, rums and more, comes BHAKTA 1928, a straight rye whiskey infused with Armagnac as old as 1928, offering classic spices and peppery notes. The blend also features 1941, 1962, 1973 and 1996 vintages, uniting French Armagnac and Calvados with American rye for a 50% ABV. BHAKTA Spirits invigorates storied spirits such as Armagnac and Calvados through rare single vintages and bold, blended expressions. Second is Hogsworth Bourbon, which takes “a more rebellious path” in its pairing of American bourbon with French elegance. Its newest release, Hogsworth The 10, is an American bourbon elevated by aged French Armagnacs. Bourbon-forward and distinct, it carries an average age of 10 years and is bottled at 88.8 proof, 44.4% ABV. Both are creations of entrepreneur Raj Peter Bhakta, best known for founding WhistlePig Whiskey.
- BHAKTA 1928 is a union of rye, Calvados and Armagnac.
- Hogsworth The 10 is an American bourbon with a French accent.
