Harry’s Bar & Burger, frequently cited as a top choice for best cheeseburger in local and national media polls, is a casual restaurant known for its sliders and boozy milkshakes from its two locations in Providence. Run by the Chow Fun Food Group, Harry’s philosophy is simple: Use the highest quality ingredients, 100% Certified Hereford beef, and fresh local produce to create “incredible taste and satisfaction” with every bite. Each location offers a wide range of imported, regional and local brews on draft and in cans, as well as wine selections. Its creative cocktails offer flavorful accompaniments too, as its bar team crafts cocktail creations that transform classic into contemporary sips, perfect to pair with an extensive range of topped burgers and bites.

Cocktail: Cherry Lola

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Archer Rose Malbec
  • .5 oz. Stoli Vanilla
  • .5 oz. Cointreau
  • .5 oz. Black Cherry Syrup*
  • 1.5 oz. Cola

The Cherry Lola.

Method: Combine the ingredients, shake with ice, strain over fresh ice, fill with cola, leaving room for ice cream. Add vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, then garnish with a skewer of cherries.

*To make black cherry syrup, wash, pit and dice cherries. Combine with equal parts water and sugar, put on medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Let mixture rest for 30 minutes. Strain through fine-mesh sieve.

“The Cherry Lola is a variation of the Kalimotxo, a refreshing Spanish cocktail that combines red wine and cola—itself a riff on a sangria,” said Brennan Long, Corporate Beverage Director, Chow Fun Food Group. “We added a little Cointreau to bring some citrus notes to this sweet and sometimes surprising pairing and elevated it—no pun intended—with a vanilla ice cream float. The Cherry Lola is a fun, playful adult beverage for drinkers that refuse to act their age.”
