Caleb & Broad
162 Broadway
Newport, RI

Anchored on a bustling corner on the way into downtown Newport, Caleb & Broad takes its name from the two streets that intersect in front of the restaurant: Caleb Earl Street & Broadway. Owned and operated by The Heritage Hospitality Group, a diverse collection of restaurants, food trucks and unique local venues, the Caleb & Broad team crafts a buzzing brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night drinks spot, fostering local community connections through its support of arts and artists via its décor and gallery. Its menu features fresh and seasonal creative adaptations of bar and pub fare, plus sumptuous brunches. A highlight is its first-place winning chili entry from the Newport Winter Festival 2026: A standout that shines beyond this year’s February contest triumph, found year-round. A beverage program that includes local and regional craft beers, curated wines and innovative cocktails presents visitors with a reason to simply relax and enjoy the eclectic atmosphere, indoors or out.

*Infusion and syrup: Hibiscus-infused Xicaru (750mL): Add 15-30 dried hibiscus flowers into a bottle and allow to steep overnight. Cinnamon simple syrup: In a pot combine equal parts sugar and water, add 3-5 cinnamon sticks, bring to a boil until sugar is fully dissolved. Bring to a simmer and let sit for 20 minutes.

“The Como La Flor is a straightforward cocktail that incorporates the florals of spring, and the warm cinnamon of winter. The hibiscus infused mezcal creates a beautiful color that is sure to wow your guests,” said Bartender Zoe Perry. “With only three ingredients, the cocktail mixes uncommon flavors to create a well-balanced drink.”
