Highclere Castle Gin was highlighted during this year’s New Haven Cocktail Week (NHCW) Sept. 7-13. Connecticut-based Adam von Gootkin, Founder and CEO, Highclere Castle Spirits, gave an educational talk during a seminar on Highclere Castle Gin and Cigars at The Owl Shop on Sept. 11. Guests enjoyed welcome cocktails and received a guided tasting of the super-premium London Dry Gin, which is made with botanicals from the iconic castle’s herb garden, using juniper, orange peel, lime flower, lavender and estate-grown oats from England’s Highclere Castle, the iconic location which serves as the set for “Downton Abbey.” Attendees paired the gin with light fare from The Owl Shop and Highclere Castle Cigars. An event sponsor, Highclere Castle Gin was featured in cocktails at 14 city venues during NHCW, including Elm City Social, Gioia, Geronimo Tequila Bar and Southwest Grill, and The Anchor Spa. The brand is distributed in the state by Connecticut Distributors, Inc.
