Farm Fresh RI hosted its annual Local Food Fest, a celebration of local food growers and food producers, on the scenic grounds of Newport’s Castle Hill Inn on Aug. 12. Produce from dozens of local farmers was paired with the talents of chefs from Newport’s top restaurants for a variety of delicious dishes. Attendees enjoyed meeting with local food stars, watching live dish preparations and savoring flavorful creations along with local wine, beer, signature cocktails and live music. Hosted in Castle Hill Inn’s Chalet Room and on its Lawn Terrace, the evening soiree offered views of the Newport Bridge and the Narragansett Bay. Proceeds from the sold-out event benefited Pawtucket’s Farm Fresh RI, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local farms and increasing community access to locally grown foods.
