CRA’s Annual Golf Classic Welcomes Guests

The Connecticut Restaurant Association (CRA) hosted its annual Golf Classic at Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield on June 23, presented by title sponsor Sysco. Participants were treated to lunch courtesy of US Foods before teeing off to play 18 holes. Sponsors also included Performance Food Service; Chef’s Warehouse; Allan S. Goodman; Eder Bros., Inc.; Slocum & Sons; Datapay Payroll Services; Ecolab; Falvey Linen Supply; Brescome Barton; Clover; Saratoga Spring Water; The Seals; Tito’s Handmade Vodka; Imperial Dade; Dockside Brewery; BAD SONS Beer Co.; Eli Cannon’s Tap Room; Tates; Powerstation Events; Pullman & Comley; Tanda Hospitality Foxwoods Resort & Casino; and Wood-n-Tap. Tasting stations featured dozens of brands, including Tito’s Handmade Vodka, BAD SONS Beer Co., Counter Weight Brewing Co., Dockside Brewery, Muze Seltzers and 1741 Hard Seltzer. Cocktails and a farm-to-table dinner followed the day of golf, led by a renowned lineup of local chefs, including James Arena, DORO Restaurant Group; Ryan Carbone, Ore Hill & Swyft; Joe Cusano, Le Mazet; Megan Gill, BLDG; Alison Milwe Grace, AMG Catering & Events; and Kevin Masse, Small State Provisions. With dozens of additional contributors and sponsors, approximately 260 golfers took part in the day, which supports ProStart and culinary scholarships through CRA’s Connecticut Hospitality Educational Foundation, among charitable efforts.
