Local Distillery Launches Well & Good Gin and Vodka

By July 25, 2025Rhode Island, Top News

Well & Good is a new line featuring both gin and vodka in 1-liter bottles at 42% ABV. Its label design, featuring a rippling rainbow, makes the bottles easy to spot on the shelf and reflects the brand’s commitment to equality and community support.

Pawtucket-based Rhode Island Spirits released Well & Good, a new line featuring gin and vodka in 1-liter bottles at 42% ABV, now available through Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company of RI. The idea came from conversations with bartender friends who faced a familiar dilemma: wanting to support local distilleries while managing tight margins. Co-owner Patrick Cull, who has worked both sides of the bar, understood the challenge firsthand. “Bar managers and beverage directors kept telling us they wanted local spirits on their menus, but they needed something that worked for their bottom line,” he said. “So, we created Well & Good—craft-quality spirits designed specifically for high-volume service. The 1-liter bottles are built for the speed rail, and at 42% (84 proof), we’re delivering real value and great taste, while still featuring foraged and local ingredients.” Well & Good Gin builds on a classic London Dry recipe developed by Cathy Plourde, Co-founder of Rhode Island Spirits, which uses the gin for infusions and seasonal flavor profiles of its Rhodium spirits line. Showcasing local and foraged ingredients such as wild spruce tips and local angelica, the gin reflects Rhodium’s signature approach to packing flavor into each bottle. Rhode Island Spirits is employee-BIPOC-women and LGBTQ+-owned.
