Italian selections from Connecticut-based Angelini Wine were showcased at The Savory Grape in East Greenwich on June 6 during an in-store tasting. Rick Pignataro of Angelini Wine educated store visitors on the imported wines. Shoppers tasted Vignedileo Rosato IGT, Verdicchio DOC, Esino Rosso DOC and Rosso Piceno DOC. Vignedileo comes from Tre Castelli di Palpacelli Emanuele, located in Staffolo, which occupies about 23 hectares in the province of Ancona, the heart of the classic area of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. The company started three generations ago and is now a dynamic and modern producer of D.O.C. wines. Guests also enjoyed Carpenè-Malvolti Prosecco, a sparkling rosé wine, also from Italy. The wines are distributed in Rhode Island via Mancini Beverage – Best Beverage division.
