Hartford Flavor Company has been officially recognized by the CT Department of Energy & Environmental Protection with a BetterBEV certification. BetterBev recognizes craft beverage manufacturers that meet minimum performance thresholds in key categories including raw materials, water use, wastewater, energy conservation and efficiency, cleaning and sanitizing, and more. Hartford Flavor Company’s sustainability efforts include finding new, innovative ways to reduce consumption, reuse and recycle, including providing rebates for returned reusable bottles, daily composting of post-infusion ingredients and food scraps, using less toxic cleaners, supporting organic and locally grown suppliers for all raw materials, and growing batch ingredients and garnishes. Founded by Lelaneia and Tom Dubay in 2015, all of Hartford Flavor Company’s products, including its Wild Moon Liqueurs, are distributed throughout the state by Brescome Barton. “The award celebrates our commitment to sustainability and environmentally conscious distilling practices,” said Lelaneia Dubay. “Thank you to everyone who supports our mission to create a greener, cleaner future one bottle at a time.”
