Bully Boy Spirits Highlighted in Wallingford

Bully Boy Distillers spirits were showcased during a cocktail competition at Six One Nine Supper Club in Wallingford on June 16. During the competition hosted by Conrad Meurice, Bar Manager, Six One Nine Supper Club, and emceed by Deon Ross, General Manager, Olives and Oil, with Andrew Greenleaf, Connecticut and Rhode Island Market Manager, Bully Boy Distillers, eight local bartenders competed, creating their best cocktails using Bully Boy Bottled in Bond Bourbon Whiskey for the judges panel: Alfredo Barrera, Bartender, BarNaan; Phil Serafino, Eder Bros., Inc.; and Greenleaf. The winners were first place: Agustin Simon, I Know You Know, with his cocktail, EVA; second place: David Bermudez, Siena Ristorante, New Haven, with his cocktail, Summer Swizzle; third place: James Nicholson, Westbrook Lobster, with his cocktail, Boston Tea Party; and People’s Choice: Kim Kunzik, 116 Crown Bar by Hachiroku, for her cocktail, Swizzle Sizzle Cream Dream. Boston’s first distillery since Prohibition, Bully Boy Distillers crafts an award-winning spirits line that includes whiskey, rum, gin, vodka, amaro, and canned and bottled ready-to-drink cocktails. Bully Boy Bottled in Bond Bourbon is a high-rye whiskey made with a mash bill of 61% corn, 24% malted rye and 15% malted barley, which yields bold flavors of malted rye with notes of clove and cinnamon.
